El Urgent Action Fund-Africa (UAF-Africa) lanz\u00f3 su informe \u201cLas mujeres* y el agua en \u00c1frica: El panorama general de las luchas por la justicia h\u00eddrica\u201d como parte de una campa\u00f1a de un a\u00f1o sobre la asequibilidad de agua para las mujeres en \u00c1frica. El informe responde a las siguientes preguntas: \u00bfCu\u00e1les son las causas fundamentales de la escasez de agua? \u00bfCu\u00e1les son los enfoques empleados por las organizaciones para resolver dicho problema? \u00bfQu\u00e9 es la justicia h\u00eddrica y por qu\u00e9 es un asunto feminista? \u00bfCu\u00e1l ha sido el impacto del COVID-19 en las mujeres africanas?<\/p>\n

La manera en la que se habla del agua es extremadamente importante, ya que el acceso, la asequibilidad y la gesti\u00f3n del agua han demostrado ser asuntos interseccionales que socavan la seguridad alimentaria, la salud, el saneamiento, la seguridad, el bienestar econ\u00f3mico, la vivienda y el cambio clim\u00e1tico. Las mujeres son las que experimentan primero los impactos de las corrientes pol\u00edticas, econ\u00f3micas y ambientales relativas al acceso y control del agua.<\/p>\n

A trav\u00e9s de este informe, UAF-Africa pretende continuar desempe\u00f1ando un papel importante en resaltar estos problemas vinculados al agua a trav\u00e9s de la investigaci\u00f3n y el apoyo a campa\u00f1as de justicia h\u00eddrica, que se enfocan en fortalecer la movilizaci\u00f3n de las bases y la construcci\u00f3n de movimientos feministas.<\/p>\n
