Forestería análoga: una herramienta y un enfoque para la restauración ecológica

Forestería análoga: una herramienta y un enfoque para la restauración ecológica

We know the main issues we are facing on our planet. We have lost half of our forest – the source of our existence. Forests provide air, fresh water, wildlife, fuel, timber, the best soil, nutrients, and food. If current trends of soil depletion continue according to UN reports (2014)* we are sixty years harvests away from losing our ability to produce food. Industrial pollution chokes our cities, creates dead marine zones and enormous plastic islands in the ocean that don’t become innocuous in our biosphere but remain as smaller particles of plastic in our foodweb. Global warming speeds up the melting of water reserves in the polar glaciers and all high peaks.
