NGO CSW66 Forum event recording | #WeWomenAreWater campaign
On World Water Day 2022, the Global Alliance for Green and Gender Action (GAGGA) hosted an NGO CSW Forum event on its #WeWomenAreWater social media campaign. The 2022 campaign amplified gender-just climate solutions related to water and the urgent need for international financial institutions and climate funds to resource them. This session took place on the final day of the campaign, where women environmental human rights defenders and the people who support them discussed the false climate solutions and extractive activities impacting their water, and why climate finance actors would do better to invest in the transformative, local climate actions they are leading.
