Actor: NGO | Region: Latin America
CCIMCAT is a private not-for-profit institution that works on the promotion and integral development of rural, indigenous and urban working-class women of the Tarija Department in Bolivia, with the aim of contributing to change in gender power relations in the political, economic, social, cultural and environmental areas. This is done from an equity, gender and environmental just perspective.
“The work with GAGGA has meant that we can contribute to joint work through our learning and experiences from women, to show: their practical and strategic needs; the differentiated impacts of climate change on them and their surroundings; the democratization for the access and use of water from a gender perspective; and ensure environmental justice in the public agenda, promoting changes in public and private spaces for a socially just dignified life”
