CCIMCAT is a private not-for-profit institution that works on the promotion and integral development of rural, indigenous and urban working-class women of the Tarija Department in Bolivia, with the aim of contributing to change in gender power relations in the political, economic, social, cultural and environmental areas. This is done from an equity, gender and environmental just perspective.

“The work with GAGGA has meant that we can contribute to joint work through our learning and experiences from women, to show: their practical and strategic needs; the differentiated impacts of climate change on them and their surroundings; the democratization for the access and use of water from a gender perspective; and ensure environmental justice in the public agenda, promoting changes in public and private spaces for a socially just dignified life”

    El CCIMCAT es una institución privada, sin fines de lucro, de promoción y desarrollo integral que trabaja con mujeres campesinas, indígenas y de barrios urbano populares del departamento de Tarija-Bolivia, con el propósito de contribuir al cambio en las relaciones de poder de género en los ámbitos político, económico, social, cultural y ambiental, desde un enfoque de equidad, de género y justicia ambiental con justicia de género.

    “El trabajo con GAGGA, nos ha permitido contribuir a un trabajo conjunto, de aprendizajes y experiencias desde las mujeres para visibilizar las necesidades prácticas y estratégicas, los efectos diferenciados que tiene el cambio climático sobre ellas y su entorno, la democratización del acceso y uso del agua desde un enfoque de género y poner en la agenda pública la justicia ambiental, promoviendo cambios en los espacios públicos y privados para una vida digna con justicia social.”
