Latin American partner organizations of GAGGA launched the campaign “We, women, are water” in March 2018. This initiative took place on the occasion of International Women’s Day (March 8) and World Water Day (March 22). With the campaign, GAGGA aimed to build awareness and make visible the role of women in the sustainable management of water in Latin America; strengthen the different actions that women water defenders are taking forward; and make visible the added value of working together as an alliance between the women’s movement and the environmental movement to bring about more sustainable change at the community level.

This video is one of the three videos launched as part of this campaign, and emphasizes the role of women water defenders. It was shared in different channels of social media, and presented in the 2018 Alternative World Water Forum, which was held in Brazil.
